Anthony Osekhuemen Otaigbe (AKA TheMindOfAY) is an emerging film maker, musician, and actor with Fela-like ambitions of celebrating the pride of Esan diaspora. His music consists of a mixture of Pidgin, English, and Esan while his film projects highlight issues such as finding love, hypocrisy, and cultural identity. What will TheMindOfAY think of next?

Gunmen shoot Anambra Pastor in front of his ChurcH

Awka- UNKNOWN gunmen Thursday in the heart of Awka, shot the pastor of a new generation church, Pastor David Elijah Chidiebere in front of his Grace and Power Divine Prophetic Ministry Chuch along the state secretariat road in the Anambra State capital. Incidentally, the church is located about 400 meters to the Secretariat Divisional Police Station and the incident happened at a time his church was packed full with worshipers and waiting for the Pastor to arrive for the day’s service. INEC instructed Not To Consent Melaye Return To Senate: PDP

The appeal court had annulled the February election of Melaye and ordered a fresh one which held on November 16, an exercise that was declared inconclusive while a supplementary poll fixed for November 30. Kola Ologbondiyan, spokesman of the PDP, while speaking on Saturday expressed worry that INEC might not conduct a free and fair election. Soldier stabs man to death in Aba

A yet to be identified soldier reportedly stabbed a man to death at Owerri-Aba community, Ugwunagbo council area, Abia State. The soldier, suspected to be attached to the 144 Battalion, Asa, Ukwa West council area, had gone to make peace between two persons, who were fighting. Oshiomhole’s troubles worsen as APC Governors’ Forum DG calls for his resignation

The crisis rocking Nigeria’s ruling party, APC, got worse on Wednesday as the director-general of the party’s governors’ forum called for the resignation of Adams Oshiomhole as the party’s chairman. Also on Wednesday in Benin City, some leaders of the APC in Edo State at a meeting attended by Governor Godwin Obaseki ratified the suspension of Mr Oshiomhole from the party in the state. In a statement signed by its Director-General, Salihu Lukman, in Abuja on Wednesday, the forum asked Mr Oshiomhole to urgently convene a National Executive Council meeting of the party or leave office. “It is either Oshiomhole respect the provision of the party constitution and convene superior organ meeting to deliberate on all our challenges, or he should just accept his inability to manage the party and simply resign,” Mr Lukman said in a statement on Wednesday.
