UROHI — The Esan West Local Government Council chairmanship hopeful in Edo State, Prince Kelly O. Udebhulu has been honored with the prestigious “Golden Award of Excellence” by his community (Urohi) under the auspices of Urohi United Forum, the umbrella body of Urohi sons and daughters Worldwide for his outstanding contributions towards the growth of the community and his role in the advancement of humanity in general.
The spokesperson of the event, Mr Solomon Oriafo Aihevboloria remarked that the award recipient has over the years exhibited exemplary character worthy of emulation, especially in his contributions to the socio-economic and political development of the area and members of the community.
Prince Kelly O. Udebhulu is an illustrious son of Urohi Kingdom of the Esan speaking communities in Edo State. He is one of the All Progressives Congress (APC)`s chairmanship aspirants in the forthcoming council elections in Edo state.
At the award presentation ceremony held at Eguare, Urohi in the presence of who is who in Nigeria, politicians of repute, captains of industry, top government functionaries, civil servants, prominent businessmen and women from Urohi and beyond, etc, it was gathered that they decided to honor their illustrious son owing largely to his outstanding contributions towards the development of the community.
“ Sir, we have found you worthy to be honored and celebrated for your contributions to the development and enthronement of Urohi Kingdom, this day, 1st of January, 2018, we honor you with this particular award ever given to any Urohian which is the GOLDEN AWARD OF EXCELLENCE”, he said.
In his gratitude speech enveloped with sober mood of appreciation though represented by his personal assistant, Engineer Emmanuel Odiase;
“My people of Urohi, am honored and pleased for this great honor given to me today. I specifically dedicate this award to all sons and daughters of Urohi kingdom worldwide for their support and encouragement. I pledge to continue to do that which is necessary for the development of Urohi kingdom. I will not forget to remember my late brother Chief Friday Usifoh Osuyi, who put in me the best patriotic values ever noticed in me these days, wherever he is today, my maximum respect extends to him. Also to my ever legend, a hero and royal father, HRM Aidenogie 1, as you are not here today, it pained me to my bone marrow, God knows why? My special thanks go to the chief coordinator, Mr Oriafo Aihevboloria, the planning committee and all members of Urohi United Forum for all your efforts to see to the unity of all sons and daughters of Urohi Kingdom worldwide.” Udebhulu concluded.
