Big Brother Naija 2020: The Fuss, Expectations, Audition And Rewards wow

• Big brother Naija is undoubtedly the biggest reality TV show in Africa. The show is four seasons strong with winners like Katung, Efe, Miracle and most recently, Mercy. The show boasts of fans scattered across the continent (and the world) but at the same time, it has received a lot a backlash from critics. They think that the show only promotes immorality and the quest for quick wealth. For this reason, The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) in July, wrote a petition to the President Muhammadu Buhari to stop the airing of the just-concluded edition.

• From every season of the show, one fact that remains is that Big Brother Naija is a great platfo

• rm for contestants and brands alike. Contestants are launched into the limelight with brands lining up to partner with them. This is a clear indication that the show is not solely for entertainment but an opportunity to 'blow' if the right cards are played.

• As much as everyone who goes into the Big Brother Naija house wants to win, it appears that making it into the house alone can be enough. All you need is to worm your way into the hearts of Nigerians. This is evident in the lives and careers of people like Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Tobi Bakre, and Cynthia "Cee-C" Nwadiora. Recent faves like Mike, Khafi and Tacha also belong to this category.

• Fans have watched the contestants grow from regular people to big celebrities that get paid to make appearances, little wonder they now want in on the action. Video clips and photographs from the last auditions shook social media because of the turnout. Nigerians came out en masse, from far and near, for an opportunity to be in the Big Brother house. Security officials at the venues even had a hard time managing the crowd.

• The 2020 auditions are expected to be even bigger than that of 2019. Everyone wants a better life and if sitting in a house to entertain Nigerians for 99 days will change their lives, best believe they will sign up.

• There are a lot of expectations as well on the organizers to bring premium content in the next season. Big Brother Naija is known for unexpected twists in the game and fans around the world cannot wait to see what is in store for 2020.

• The prize for the next season is yet to be announced but drawing from the pattern in previous seasons, it will definitely be huge. In 2006, Katung won a hundred thousand dollars, Efe went home with twenty five million Naira in 2017, and Miracle won forty-five million Naira. The season 4 winner, Mercy Lambo, got a prize worth sixty million Naira. There's obviously an upward progression which means the prize for 2020 will be juicier.

• Fingers are crossed and everyone is waiting for the new season to hit the screens in 2020. In all of this, one thing that remains is that the organizers are up for a challenge to satisfy anticipating fans and churn out the next batch of celebrities.
